Disney World June 2015--A Surprise Trip

In the evening after the kids last day of school we announced we were driving to Florida for vacation!
They love to be surprised!

The next morning in preparation for our trip Sean and I were out running last minute errands when we got back Sean pulled up to the house so we could put the Thule on the car when supposedly I was talking a ton and therefore distracted Sean so he didn't realize the car wasn't completely stopped and ran into the garage!  Luckily the damage was minimal though this outdoor electrical outlet doesn't agree! The car now sports a few holes in the bumper and some minor scrapes!

Tonky was feeling sad because she knew we were packing up to leave but she was ecstatic to be dropped off at my parents house!  True to form she pretended she couldn't get into the car because Sean was there!

Too bad the kids (or at lease some of them) couldn't travel like this!
(Ledger stuffed himself in the already packed suitcase!)

We love to stop at Crackle Barrel!

This was the beautiful sunset when we pulled onto Mimi and Grampy's street!
We were so excited to be in Florida!

However, we were sad because Mimi and Grampy did NOT come with us!
We had never been to Florida without them! (Unless you count when just Sean and I went two years ago)
It was so sad to walk into the Florida house and not have them there!

Ledger was VERY happy to find all the R2D2 toys the next morning!

We went to Animal Kingdom.

It was HOT! HOT! HOT!
Even the Floridians agreed they were having above normal temps!

Sean wearing his shirt at The Festival of the Lion King!
Dallin got asked up!  He was funny, he acted like it was the lamest thing in the whole world.

Ledger went on the Triceratops Spin with Sean while the rest of us went on the Primeval Whorl (ick, I hate that ride!)

I think it was Trew's first time! He's so happy to be tall enough!

Ledger was asleep when we met back up!

Sean ran ahead and surprised us--Ledger was tall enough for KALI RIVER RAPIDS!

We were all SO excited!  He LOVED it and he calls it the 'weee, splash ride'!

Sean and most of the kids went on Dinosaur.

The safari ride has zebra's now!

The new Harambee market place is so great!  Not only was some of the food we tried delicious but it relieves serious congestion in that area of the park!

Sunday we went to church and to the temple!

Ledger was asleep with me in the car and Dallin was too hot to move!

Monday we hit Magic Kingdom.

The new wheel spoke in front of the castle is done again it will relieve a lot of congestion especially after the fireworks!

Waiting in shade before our Jungle Cruise fastpass.

The group next to us kept standing up after being asked not too ten time (not to mention that it's announced at the beginning of the ride and there are several signs before you even get on the ride!)
The cast member got pretty serious when she told them she'd stop the ride if they didn't cut it out!

We got the kids an ice cream treat, it was a race to finish them before they melted!

Sean took Ledger and Embree to the little tree house in front of The Pooh Ride. Ledge loves Pooh and honey right now!
He wondered what he was doing in the picture below until he figure out that he was extending his fingers but keeping them all together (like they were in a mitten) and was pretending to dip his hand in a honey pot and 'eating' the honey!

We went on the Buzz ride which is also a favorite of Ledger!

The last picture show's how excited Ledger was! So cute!

The kids played with all there glow bands waiting for the fireworks.
We stayed in Magic until (a record breaking) 12:30AM!
Oh, and it was still a sweltering 88 degree's out!

Our next day we spent at Hollywood Studios and we only took one picture!

Wednesday we went to Epcot.

Sean took a picture of his cute R2 cup holder-we had just debated with two cast member's in Club Cool where he bought it.  It was there even though they swore they never sold it!

Thank goodness for cloud's or we wouldn't have been able to watch some street performers!

The Mexico ride!

We went on Spaceship Earth--never waste a fasspass on this ride and never go on it before 1 or 2 o'clock.  You can walk right on the rest of the day!
All of us minus me (I was holding Ledger up so he'd be in the movie) on the big screen after you get off the ride.

Back to Animal.

Dallin won a bear in the basketball game-they are finally getting rid of the fair-like games in Dinoland!
We watched Nemo from the very front row.  Ledger flew off his seat into Sean when Bruce swooped down toward him during the song!

(Ledger just walked up to me and said "Look mom, Bruce! Fish are friends not food. Bruce bite me.")

Dallin, Alanna love Everest and so do I!

Magic Kingdom

Ledger did not find this funny. The rest of us did though!

There was no wait time on Dumbo but we (and a bunch of other people) stopped to cool off before riding the ride!

All of us so happy to go on The Barnstormer together!

We all took some time to get a little (or a lot) wet!

Another Pooh ride!

Ledger was longing to see Pooh and Tigger.

The kids played with all the games in the queue before the ride.

Then we coated them in hand sanitizer before loading up in the honey pots.

Beautiful Magic Kingdom!

Selfie!

Ledger took a little nap before we went on the Carousel of Progress.

And Sean took Ledge on Buzz again while the rest of us went on Big Thunder.

We all went to the Country Bear Jamboree.  Ledger had said something so funny-but I can't remember what it was!

Hollywood Studios

The kids saying hello to the doggy.

Traditional kids picture--it was scorching!

Sean waited in line with the three youngest to meet Buzz and Woody.

He texted me this picture saying he'd like to launch these two to the moon!

Ledger was SO happy to meet them even if he is frozen in place!
Sean and I laughed so hard after when we were discussing how parents feel like they have to explain to the characters "Buzz, he really does love you! He watches you everyday".
 It happens ALL the time!

Alanna, Dallin and I showed up right as it was there turn to greet them. A cast member let us in the back door.

We had been on TOWER OF TERROR!

It's my favorite Disney ride.  My kids have all been on it at least once, except Dallin-he had never been.  Alanna and Dallin decided to try it out again and of course they LOVED it!  We rode it several times during out trip!  It made me so freaking happy!

Dallin requested this picture of him!

While Sean got the kids some fish and chips in England I took Ledge to see Tigger and Pooh!

He was SO excited!

Robert photo bombing a sleeping Ledger!

Gross, double yuck!  Golden Corral is Dallin's favorite place to eat at in Florida. Really?!
We decided to make his day and take him there--it confirmed that it's the nastiest place in the world!
I figured out he just loves buffet's--wish we figured that out before we ate there!

After eating we went to Magic Kingdom.

And played for hours in the dark!

Alanna had Ledger just laughing and laughing!

A race!

The next day we headed back to Hollywood Studios.

While packing some lunch Ledger fell into a cooler and couldn't get out!

Sean bought the cutest little Wookie shirt for Ledge.
It says 'Let the Wookie win!'
The kids got a big kick out of it!

We waited for a bit to eat at Hollywood and Vine.
A real good buffet!

Back at Magic I found the next shirt I want to buy Sean!

\

We cooled off playing in under the big top at the Dumbo ride again!

While Sean and the big kids went on Big Thunder Ledger and I made friends with some ducks!

He fed them some Goldfish.

They were so friendly (it's Disney World after all!) they came up to his shoe-

which he thought was so awesome!

Epcot

We love Mexico! Ole!

We watched a very talented acapella group preform!
They were so great, we all really loved it!

We ran over to Hollywood Studios for one last Toy Story Mania.

We had such a great trip!  We're so happy summer is here!

Wouldn't you just love to work for Disney!
The sign out front says Heigh-Ho, Heigh-Ho it's off to work we go!

Downtown Disney (soon to be Disney Springs) is under catastrophic construction for the past few years.  It's just awful to drive past let alone park!  Well, the new monstrous parking garage is done--it's quite impressive!  At the entrance the sign tells you which level has parking spots and how many!  Because of all the construction out on the street there are less lanes so there is a miles long line to turn left into the parking garage.  By default we found the BEST little secret.  We drove past the hundred cars and at the light we should have turned left at we turned right.  It's the Disney cast member building. We quickly turned around in the parking lot and headed back toward the light and went straight--right into the parking garage--we saved us about a half an hour in stand still traffic!

Our drive home was uneventful minus CONNECTICUT!
I can't tell you how much we hate CT, specifically Hartford.  Traffic jams every single time!
It took hours and hours and hours.

 The exit ahead says ME.

Ledger rubbing Robert on/under his eye is too cute not to include!
Especially because he's getting SO big!
