Billy Joel at Fenway Park

I semi-surprised Sean back in February with ticket's to see Billy Joel!  He plan's most of our dates/vacations so I want to go big or go home! (that is totally something Sean would have said!)  So after dumping-I mean dropping the kids off at my parents we headed down to Bean Town.

He did pick where we ate dinner!
It was really unbelievable good!  Best steak ever.

We stumbled across the finish line for the Boston Marathon-it's so unreal how horrific human beings can be.  As we were walking toward Fenway Sean decided we should ride one of those bike/taxi things.  So this poor guy hauled both of us-his music blaring, sweating like a fool-right to Yawkey Way!  It was really funny!

The concert was SOOOOO good, we had such a GREAT time!  He is a great musician, I'm so glad we went!  It should be added to everyone's bucket list-must see Billy Joel live!  After the concert we (and a million other people) walked back to our hotel and then re-lived the concert via our phones!  We were too wired to sleep!

The next morning we went off to the temple!  Duke gave us a "backstage tour" of sorts!  It was really neat!  How awesome would that be-to work IN the temple all day, everyday?!?  We decided to skip our hotel the second night and go to dinner with Duke and Kathy.  Plaza Azteca-The Cheesecake Factory's Mexican restaurant.  We discovered it a year or two ago and will drive 30 minutes our of our way to eat there!  It happens to be on the way to the DeWitt's!  It was delicious and SO much fun!  We went back to their house to sleep on two couches pushed together in the their living room instead of going to our hotel!  This cracks me up, it proves how much we love them!  We stayed up til 2am talking and laughing!  We are so glad they didn't move far away!  (We miss Bridgette and Gary SO much!)

After spending the morning with them we headed toward home.  We stopped in Freeport to eat and do a little shopping.  (I've waited almost 13 years for Sean to go shopping with me-he hates it so much!)  Freeport is slowly opening Sean up to how much fun shopping can be!

The Bean boot car-it kills me how Bean boots are all the rage right now!  My dad had worn these boots oh, FOREVER!  And now they're 'fashionable' and all over the front page of Yahoo and so in demand they're on backorder! *I'm rolling my eyes!  They are great boot's-Sean and I both wear them, they are a must for Maine winters! We had a great long weekend and we're happy to get our kids back.  (this was the first time we've left Ledge overnight)
