Alanna's First Twirling Competition

 

The Maine-e-ette's had their first competition this weekend in Springfield MA!

Boy, were we all excited!  We went down the night before so we could be at the college bright and early for the whole day event.  These girls are SO talented!  It was very, very impressive!  Our Maine-e-acts and our younger Maine-e-ette's were great and got first in almost every event! 

 



 

 Since we are all new to this we didn't realize Alanna (and Jessie-Hymas' were with us) only preformed twice and it was at the very end of the day!  It was a LONG day with all kids.  We will be better prepared next time! (like leaving the other kids home with a sitter!) The big boys did really well though, luckily there was an ipad and a DS to play.

After the competition we all went to a team dinner.  I'm sure in theory it sounded like a good idea to their coach but it was executed terribly.  Their was no room for anyone to sit near each other., so we had to get up and walk around the restaurant to see the twirlers get awards and such.  

 

 

 

 

But we did make an impromptu stop at our dear friends the Braithwaite's-who finally did move away to MA.  Becky flew back in at midnight from visiting their oldest in UT.  We all had a big sleepover and went to church together the next day.  It was SO much fun!
