Disney April 2014 (Plus a Saunders Suprise!)

Our drive down was uneventful!
The kids travel well.

Magic bands are finally available to Passholders!  So exciting!  I had them shipped to the Florida house so they were waiting for us when we got there!  I picked our colors thinking that's how we'd tell who was who's but duh, each name is printed on the inside!

Day one: We went to Epcot!

Ledger checking out the flowers, it is Epcot's Flower and Garden Festival!

Soda Place! (Club Cool)

Embree and Dallin budding up for Spaceship Earth!

Day two!

Ledger relaxing before we went to Magic Kingdom.

Embree was so excited to wear her Elsa costume!  Every day she wore it we got asked 25+ times where we got it! All theme parks are completely sold out!  It drew a lot of attention, which Embree is more then okay with!  I happened to get it right after the movie came out while we were in Disney in November. It shocks us that Disney, who KNOWS marketing, has dropped the ball on Frozen!  EVERYTHING Frozen was sold out. Some lady offered $300 for the dress right off Embree's back!!!!  Dead serious!  Sean reminded me when a lady offered me $100 for our spot (1st) in the line to meet Merida!

Embree asked the Main Street piano player (not the usual guy) if he could play a Frozen song.  He said he didn't know any but he'd try.  Then he preceded to play Let it go, oh......PERFECTLY!  Talented!!

I was SO hopeful that the new Seven Dwarfs Mine Rollercoaster would have their soft opening while we were there--it was rumored--but alas it was two weeks after we left Disney.  We were there while they were filming the commercial-which was neat!  They also were filming a new video for  Sorin'--Disney is a no fly zone since 9/11 so it was announced that there would be a plane/helicopter flying overhead to do this.

Day three: Hollywood Studios

Day four: Animal Kingdom

Mimi would love this picture of herself but we need document this.  Sean LOVES to fake yawn in front of his mom because she'll yawn for real and won't be able to stop.  It makes some of our kids SO mad!  Mimi is such a good sport!

We had a great Safari ride then went to Hester and Chester's Triceratops Spin!

It was a HOT day!

Trew being a monkey!

Embree went on Everest for the first time!!

Day five: Back to Epcot!

Again is was super hot!  The kids LOVE to play in the jumping water!

We ate at The Garden Grill for dinner for the first time as a family!

It was delicious!!

The kids including Ledger were SO excited to meet Pluto, Mickey and Chip and Dale!  The restaurant usually spins very slowly but it was broken--which was a bummer because you can see one of our favorite family rides while you dine! (Living with the Land)

Day six: The kids were in for a huge surprise!!
Sean left early in the morning in our old Sienna, I secretly packed a bag and took the kids out to go to a few outlet store's and around noon we climbed out of the car and.....

we saw the Saunders!!!!

The kids were in shock!!

I love how excited they all are!  Especially Embree!

We went to a Burger King for lunch and to hang out until we could all check into our hotel together!

Then we spent the afternoon swimming and catching up!  SO. MUCH. FUN.

We had been looking forward to meeting up for months!  Sean and Gary took the all the kids minus babies down to watch some of the movie that was playing outside.

Day six : We went to church then across the street to see the temple.

(only 24 tries before we got this one of all of them!)

(This one was hopeless--they wouldn't leave our sides)

After the temple we went back to our hotel, ate lunch then went off the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Swiping each others binkies!

Checking out the animals.

Relaxing in the shade while the kids all played a playground.
It was such a nice day!  The weather and the company!

One awesome BBQ pit!

Alanna HATES these PJ's!
I found them both for $1.98 at Macy's. The smaller ones didn't end up fitting Embree so I gave them to Bridgette (like a year ago) we happened to pack both of them, the girls thought they were pretty cute all matching!

Back at the hotel the kids got jammies on and went back and forth between our two rooms.
 Ah, so much fun!

Day seven: After feeding ten kids breakfast we headed off to Magic Kingdom!

Happy! Waiting for the monorail!

All but the babies and I went on the Tomorrowland Speedway.

I watched the little ones while everyone went on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad then Sean watched all the (now awake) baby boys plus Claire while everyone else went on Splash Mountain!

A cast member was so sweet and brought cookies to help entertain everyone!  Love Disney!

SO much fun!!
(Ginny is in the back-proof pictured below!)

We watched the new Festival of Fantasy parade.
It is SO cool!  And we were SO hot!

  This is so typical!
Sean puts Mickey stickers on Gary's bum.  And Gary leaves them there!

Liquid heaven!

We had to share our newest favorite Disney treat!  It was a hit!

The fellas took the kids on Aladdin's Magic Carpet.

Bridgette and Gary really wanted the kids to see the new Story Time with Belle-it's been open about a year but we haven't been too interested in checking it out.  It was really great!
Sean and Dallin skipped out of the line to take our strollers to shelter as huge rain clouds were setting in as we entered Bell's cottage.

Kids in front of the castle!

Dinner at Casey's on Main Street!

Then back to the hotel to play some more!  We had SUCH a great time!  Sean took them to the airport early the next morning--so, so sad!  It's so great to have amazing friends who can go 6 months without seeing each other then pick up right where we left off!!

 Day eight: Animal Kingdom

The kids earned a few Wilderness Explore badges.

Alanna drove a lazy fart cart all by herself!

Everest!

I actually hate this ride and am so glad when Grampy goes on it with the kids!
Trew was so bummed-he's still too short!

Day nine: Epcot

Ledger snoozed on Grampy while we went on Sorin'.

I love little Ledger holding Alanna's hand!

Day ten: We went to Hollywood Studios

It was the 25th anniversary of the park opening!

Ledger was having fun watching the first part of The Backlot Tour until a water canon got him!  He was surprised but was only stunned he went back to running around as soon as he wiped the water off his head!  Wish we got it on video!

Even though it's a blurry picture it shows how excited Ledger was to meet Mike and Sully!  He LOVES Monsters inc!!

Star Tours ride!

Ledger's first lollypop!

Dallin playing with Ledger while we waited to eat at Hollywood and Vine.

After we ate we watched the 'special' anniversary parade.  Meh, it wasn't that great.
There was a huge dance party in front of the hat that was really fun!

Last day we went to Magic.
It POURED buckets the entire day!  Wow, we've never seen rain like that before!  We trucked through most of the day then headed out of the park to an early dinner!

We love the carousel!

Ledger trying out the little rocking chair's at Cracker Barrel.

On the way into the parks one day Sean ran into the biggest vulture!  It jumped the heck out of us and once we pulled into MK parking lot we saw it dented our hood, cracked the grill and ripped off the Chevy symbol on the front of the car!!!!  Then in CT on the way home a teeny, tiny rock made this 14 inch crack in the windshield!  That sounds funny right?!

It wasn't!  And you know what else wasn't funny?!
Driving the car straight into the garage with the Thule still on top!!!!

We decided we should have just flown-it would have been the same price!
We're glad to be home and have tax season behind us!
